The centers

Centers of Excellence across BIMC

Each center concentrates a field of medicine at the hospital best equipped for it. Open a center to see what it treats, the procedures it offers and where to find it.

Robotic-assisted total knee replacement, hip replacement, arthroscopy and spine surgery — with CT, MRI and the operating theatres in the same building, so a fracture or a worn joint is assessed, operated and rehabilitated by one team.

The centre works directly with the Emergency & Trauma Center next door: a road-traffic injury arriving at midnight can be stabilised, imaged and taken to theatre without leaving BIMC Kuta.

Neurology and neurospine care in one centre: headaches and migraine, nerve pain, dizziness, seizures and stroke are assessed with CT and MRI on site, and reviewed by specialists before any decision to operate.

For spine cases the centre favours minimally invasive technique where it is appropriate — smaller incisions, shorter stays and rehabilitation that starts sooner, coordinated with the orthopaedic and physiotherapy teams.
